1.either neither

●前者的組合爲either...or，意思是要麽要麽，或者或者，表選擇。

——I will either play balls or stay at home tommorrow.

明天我要麽打球，要麽呆在家

——I will choose either Chinese cabbages or corns as my vegetable dish of lunch.

午餐的素菜，我吃白菜或玉米作爲素菜。

*either 還有“隨便”的意思（≈whatever）

——Which one do you prefer? 你喜歡哪個

——Either is ok. 隨便了。

●後者的組合是：neither..nor

既不，也不，意思是否定兩者，表並列。

——I like neither math nor physics.

(neither本身含有否定的意思，所以不用i dont like neither……)

另外，neither放句首，句子要部分倒裝（把助動詞提前）

如上例，就可以改爲：

Neither do I like math nor physics.

我不喜歡數學，也不喜歡物理。

2.both指兩者，all指叁者以上。

動詞both，all 的位于要看情況，特別是高中以後 的定語從句，要具體問題具體分析。

Both of them like math.

Both Jim or Jack like her.

All of my families gather to celebrate the New Year.

All of the apple was eaten by Jim.(強調整個“蘋果”，一個！

整個蘋果都是被Jim吃掉的，apple 作爲一個整體，單位“1”，明？

3.這兩個沒有什麽聯系，如果說有，就是後面加動詞要用ing 形式。

4.關于hundred，thousand,million,billion 甚至trillion

只需記兩種結構

1）有數詞，肯定沒有“s”和“of”

2）有“of”，肯定有“s”，必定沒有數詞。

3）兩種情況不可能同時出現，這裏不多說，回去翻看你錯誤的題就OK.

如：1）3 thousand

2）thousands of

3 thousands of (×)

thousand of (×)

死背1）、2）兩種形式，做題絕對OK

5.attend,take part in，join

前者爲“出席”，多用于會議等大場面——attend the meeting

中者爲“參加”，多指活動——take part in the game

後者爲“加入”，多指某組織，入黨入團參軍之類的——join the Party

6.特指才加the

如，天體——整個宇宙只有一個太陽，地球，月亮，所以 the(目前爲止)

球類——

樂器——中國樂器不加the ——play Erhu

國家——縮寫時 ——i dont like the USA

7.關掉，開啓——turn off/on

穿上——put on(≠take on)

脫下——take off(≠put off)

引申義爲“起飛、成功”

eg：He take off his T-shirt.

He take off after a long time.

The plane took off just now.

著陸——land on ↔ take off

The plane landed on just now.
