古琴，是一種中華民族的傳統樂器古琴，古琴有七條弦，因此又名七弦琴七弦是古代什麽樂器。古琴別名七弦，七絲，凡桐，玉振，絲桐。據《史記》載，琴的出現不晚于堯舜時期。考古發現最早的古琴，爲2016年在湖北棗陽郭家廟，出土的周朝曾國春秋早期的琴，距今2700年左右，將我國有實物佐證的琴史提前約300年，古籍記載琴的創制與中華文明之初的帝王有關，《琴操》載：“伏羲作琴。” 《琴當序》中記載：“伏羲之琴，一弦，長七尺二寸。”《禮記》記載“舜作五弦之琴，以歌南風”。 漢代桓譚《新論》中記載：“神農之琴，以純絲做弦，刻桐木爲琴。至五帝時，始改爲八尺六寸。虞舜改爲五弦，文王武王改爲七弦。”。
